Applying the Background and Methodology with the Research Process The problem that study was conducted to fix was how to make a Patient-controlled analgesia safer for the sufferer. The Patient-controlled analgesia is a common and effective means of handling postoperative pain. The sophisticated processes and equipment associated with the setup, encoding and government of 4 or epidural PCA have allowed that to become a significant source of many preventable medication errors. This matter needs to be study to find a way to prevent long term errors coming from happening. Medical administrators ought to study the errors manufactured when using the PCA with the data collected they will help prevent any more adverse effects with the medications mistakes associated with the PCA. There are two styles of problems with the PCA and are labeled into two categories while human problems which are owner error and equipment mistakes which are does not work properly of the machine. The purpose of the research was to get ways to stop medication problems when using a PCA in postoperative soreness. The study will see out what errors are normal and find a method to prevent these types of errors by reoccurring. The primary research question is how to describe PCA medication errors and analyze systems and modalities that might help reduce the foreseeable future incidence of the errors. The hypothesis is the fact after learning these errors involving the PCA the experts will find methods to prevent the errors from reoccurring and in turn making the patients safer. The independent variables are the things such as programming the machine because it is different for each sufferer and the sums each affected person should receive can be described as independent varying too. The dependent parameters are activities such as the steps it takes for the create of the equipment. The machine must be set up the same every time the single thing...
